It's been more than 10 years since I've been to a General Convention. I had forgotten just how unique an experience it is. We were reminded yesterday that when we gather for General Convention we form the largest democratically elected legislative body in the world! On the surface everything seems orderly, but underneath the only word that can describe this environment is "frenetic!" It is chock-a-block from 7:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. But what a privilege to be here and what an amazing thing that we do As the president of the House of Deputies told us this morning "the way we choose to govern ourselves reflects our deep belief in the ministry of all the baptized."
